Wedsy for Venues
Privacy
Last updated 25 September 2026
This notice covers venue.wedsy.in, the portal Wedsy India Private Limited (“Wedsy”, Bengaluru) runs for wedding venues. It explains what we receive when a venue connects its own Facebook Page, Instagram account or WhatsApp number, what we do with it, and how to have it deleted. For couples using wedsy.in, see wedsy.in/privacy-policy.
1. What a venue can connect, and what we receive
A venue connects these itself, from Settings → Lead channels, by signing in with Meta and choosing what to share. We receive only what that sign-in grants:
- Facebook Page — lead forms. The Page’s name and id, its lead forms, and the answers people submit to the forms the venue switches on (typically name, phone, email, event date, guest count).
- Facebook Page — Messenger. Messages people send to the Page, their public name and profile picture, and the replies the venue sends from Wedsy.
- Instagram professional account. The account’s username and id, direct messages people send it, the sender’s name and username, and the replies sent from Wedsy.
- WhatsApp Business number. The number, its display name and account status, message templates, and messages to and from the number — the sender’s name, their phone number or WhatsApp user id, and what they wrote. If the venue keeps using the WhatsApp Business app on the same number, Meta also shares the app’s contacts and recent chat history once, and the replies the venue sends from its phone.
For each connection Meta gives us an access key. We store it encrypted and use it only to do the things below for that venue. We never receive the venue’s Facebook password, and we do not access its ads, ad accounts or payment details.
2. What we use it for
- Showing the venue’s messages from every channel in one Inbox, and sending the replies its team writes there.
- Adding enquiries from lead forms and chats to the venue’s own lead pipeline.
- Kiara, Wedsy’s assistant, only when the venue switches her on for that channel: she answers from what the venue has told Wedsy about itself (prices, capacity, dates) and hands the chat to a person when asked. Messages she reads are processed by our AI provider, Anthropic, solely to write the reply; they are not used to train its models. The venue’s team can take over any chat at any time.
- Showing the venue the health of its connection — for example, if Meta needs it to reconnect or add a payment method.
We do not sell this data, use it for advertising, or show one venue’s messages or leads to another venue. Wedsy’s own team sees a venue’s leads only when the venue chooses to send a lead to Wedsy, or when the venue asks us for support.
3. WhatsApp billing
The WhatsApp number and its WhatsApp Business account stay the venue’s own. Meta bills the venue directly for WhatsApp conversations, on the payment method the venue adds in WhatsApp Manager. Wedsy never pays for, shares or sees those charges.
4. Who can see it
The venue’s owner and the team members the owner adds. Data is stored on Wedsy’s servers (Amazon Web Services) and sent only over encrypted connections. Our service providers — hosting, the AI provider above, and Meta itself for sending messages — process it only on our instructions.
5. Disconnecting and deleting
- Disconnect any time from Settings → Lead channels. We delete the access key straight away and stop receiving anything new. Removing Wedsy from the business integrations in your Facebook or Instagram settings does the same.
- Messages and leads already received stay in the venue’s account as its business records, until the venue deletes them or asks us to.
- To delete everything for a venue, or if you messaged a venue and want your messages removed, email [email protected] from the email or phone number involved, naming the venue. We confirm within 7 working days and delete within 30 days, keeping only what the law requires us to keep (such as invoices).
